HOLISTIC APPROACH & AGILE PHILOSOPHY

A holistic approach means that all aspects of the operational business system need to be analysed if the entire range of opportunities for business improvement is to be identified.

The POPIT™ model shows the different views that must be considered when identifying areas for improvement.

Please take a few moments to click on each aspect of the model to review the items for consideration.

When you’re ready click continue to move on.

Taking a holistic view is vital, as it ensures that all aspects have been considered and, most importantly, the linkages between them.

The business analyst must be aware of the broader areas of the business including its culture and its impact on the people and the working practices. The Agile philosophy encompasses key principles and concepts including collaborative working, iterative software development and incremental software delivery.

Both the POPIT™ model and Agile philosophy will be covered in more detail later in this course
